Course Overview

This course has been specifically designed to address low staff morale and productivity caused by stress because of a fear of change and the unknown. Not only will the program allow healthcare workers to become more aware of how healthcare transformation is impacting other stakeholders and the kind of work that they are currently performing, it will also equip them with the skills to apply individualized resilience plans and emotional intelligence strategies in adapting ones role and attitude to these necessary structural changes.

Course Objectives

  • Recognise the causes and effects of change for organisations and support by keeping a positive mindset and attitude when facing change
  • Identify the causes and effects of change for internal and external stakeholders, and be a positive influencer of change for affected stakeholders
  • Make use of approved departmental or organizational means to inform affected stakeholders of on-going changes
  • State key priorities or new directions within the organisation or department and apply emotional intelligence strategies when giving constructive feedback about changes within the organisation

Pre-requisites

These are the admission requirements:

  • Be able to listen, speak, read and write English and use numeracy skills at a proficiency level equivalent to the following:
  • Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualifications (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5 (before 13th December 2019);
  • Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualifications (ES WSQ) Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 4 (before 13th December 2019);
  • Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 4 (from 2nd January 2020) or;
  • the Council of Europes Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR) equivalent of B1 or Independent User (from 2nd January 2020)

Course Outline

This program provides the necessary foundation for healthcare workers in adopting a positive mindset towards skills deepening and/or re-skilling, to be readily equipped with in-demand skills to meet the needs of Singapores ageing population and support the Healthcare ITMs strategic thrusts.

  • Learning Unit 1 Changing Healthcare Landscape and Its Implications
  • Learning Unit 2 Reaction to Change
  • Learning Unit 3 Managing and Sustaining Change

Certification Obtained and Conferred by

A Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) will be issued.

To qualify for funding, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Individual:

1.  Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents physically based in Singapore.

2.  Complete 100% attendance and pass all relevant assessments and examinations.

  • Company Sponsored:

1.  Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents physically based in Singapore.

2.  Company must be Financial Institutions regulated by MAS (licensed or exempted from licensing), or involved in supporting financial sector activities.

3.  Complete 100% attendance and pass all relevant assessments and examinations.

Skills Development Fund (SDF) and SkillsFuture Funding:

  • Participants must attend at least 75% of the course, pass all assessments
  • Online applications are not applicable for companies applying for funding with Absentee Payroll

For Company Registration:

  • Customers who are applying to fund for trainee(s), please submit Training Grant applications in SkillsConnect website before registration
  • Training Grant number is to be submitted together with the registrations
  • Payment for the course must be using company cheque or via GIRO
